Chalet Le Jorat...
This large architect-designed chalet for 15 people (maximum 11 adults) has been planned to make the most of the wonderful light and the beautiful scenery around it, and is just a 10-minute walk from a traditional Alpine village.
There are over 40 shops in Les Contamines-Montjoie, including several supermarkets, food shops, souvenir shops and, of course, sports shops.
For more options, you're just a 10-minute drive from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, 30 minutes from Megève, and 40 minutes from Chamonix.
Chalet Le Jorat has been recently renovated to offer modern comforts, while retaining its traditional family charm. And after an active day in the mountains, you'll find plenty of indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing and socialising.
About the property…
Chalet Le Jorat is perfect for families, with six bedrooms and four bathrooms spread over three floors.
The spacious entrance hall on the ground floor leads to a ski room and WC. A few steps lead down to a reading room with a small kitchen. There's also a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, which share a shower room.
When you want to get together, there's a choice of communal areas on the first floor. The large living room is filled with light and has incredible views of Mont Joly and the Aiguille de Roselette. There are three sofas where you can get together around the fireplace or to watch a TV. There's also a small table for four and a balcony.
The kitchen opens onto a larger dining table, and a fourth sofa is opposite French doors which lead to the garden.
This floor also has a separate living room with a piano, a children's bedroom with six built-in bunk beds, a large bathroom with a shower and whirlpool bath, and a separate WC.
The second floor has three bedrooms – two double rooms and a room with two single beds. Two of these rooms have a desk, and one also has an en-suite bathroom. The other bedrooms have access to a shower room and a separate WC.
The landing has been converted into a reading area with a sofa and views of the Aiguille de Roselette.
There are several parking spaces outside the chalet.

About the area…
Les Contamines-Montjoie, in the heart of the Mont-Blanc mountains, has an authentic charm, a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful traditional architecture.
Its ski area, combined with that of the Hauteluce – Val Joly resort, offers 120km of pistes for all levels, served by 24 modern lifts, between the Mont-Blanc and Beaufortain ranges.
In winter, Les Contamines-Montjoie is a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts looking to escape from the crowds in larger resorts, and the altitude means the resort has a great snow record. The Nordic ski area offers 25 km of cross-country ski trails. Snowshoe trekking, ski touring and dog sledding are also well catered for.
In summer, those tackling the hiking and mountain biking trails are rewarded with exceptional views and high-altitude lakes. Families can enjoy a range of activities at Le Pontet leisure park, including tree-top assault courses, swimming, tennis and archery.
The resort hosts a number of cultural and sporting events throughout the year, including the village fair and the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail. It's on the route of the famous "Tour du Mont-Blanc trek", which attracts hikers from all over the world. Les Contamines-Montjoie has been awarded the “Famille Plus” label for its child-friendly services and events, and the “Flocon Vert” label, awarded to resorts that are committed to the environment.

Offering stunning views of Mont Blanc, the rich and famous have been flocking to Megève since it became a ski resort in 1916.
Today it has something to offer everyone - 400km of pristine pistes, four snow parks, fantastic off-piste and less crowded lifts.
At its centre you’ll find a picturesque medieval town, with an ancient church, cobbled streets, charming boutiques and art galleries.

The OVO Network Review
This spacious architect-designed chalet is filled with natural light thanks to its many picture windows, which frame breathtaking views of Mont Joly. Located just 750m from Les Contamines-Montjoie resort, Chalet Le Jorat can accommodate up to 15 guests, with six bedrooms and four bathrooms over three floors.
You can leave your equipment in the ski room at the entrance. Steps lead up to a self-contained apartment with a living room, kitchenette, double bedroom, twin room and shower room.
Chalet Le Jorat has plenty of space for everyone to relax. These include a large, bright lounge on the first floor with three sofas, a television and a fireplace; a second smaller living area with a piano; a mezzanine reading area; as well as a balcony and a terrace.
There is a room with six bunk beds on the first floor, and two double bedrooms and a twin room on the second floor. Two of the bedrooms have an office area for remote working.
There are four bath/shower rooms (two of which are en suite) and three separate toilets.
Several cars can be parked along the access road. The driveway is on a slope, so guests visiting in the winter should bring chains or snow tyres.

Welcome to our magical corner of paradise!
We're delighted to welcome you to Chalet Le Jorat, in the heart of Les Contamines and at the foot of the great Mont-Blanc glaciers!
We fell in love with Les Contamines in the summer of 2021. The uninterrupted view over the Col du Bonhomme and Mont Joly, the feeling of being alone in the world (there are no neighbours near the chalet, which is a rare treat here), the airy interiors.. You can breathe easily and freely.
Together with family and friends, we enjoy staying at the chalet in winter as much as in summer. In summer, we love the countless walks nearby (several start just above the chalet) and the activities around Lac du Pontet, not to mention the mountain biking, climbing and tree-top adventure park.
Being so close to the Mont-Blanc glaciers means there's plenty of snow in Les Contamines in winter, and the ski area is modern and popular. There are also plenty of nice restaurants where you can enjoy mulled wine or a hearty raclette.
The Thermes de Saint-Gervais are also worth a visit.
The chalet's highlights include the unobstructed view of the mountains, its proximity to the village centre (5 minutes' walk from the shops and restaurants) and the spacious interior. The rooms are vast, allowing you to get together (by the fire, over a board game or a good meal), or to get away from it all to read or meditate facing the mountains.

“A lot of space”
Arnaud has a beautiful chalet with lots of great rooms and space for guests. Arnaud is also very responsive, and whenever we had a question or issue, he very quickly responded and helped us to find a solution. Some things to note- the stairs accessing the chalet are quite steep and can be icy in the winter, so this may not be the most accessible option for some guests.
